Up a little...down a smidgen...
left a tad...crotch-shot!
Shoot him in the face before he
can get a bead on your huevos!
threats depending on where you’re
coming from, and the multiple potential
routes ensure you’ll always find a different
way to approach them. “I’ll try that level
again” says Kingsley. “And this time I’m
going to try sneaking in differently, try
another route through, and I’ll see what
happens...oh [crap], yeah that’s cool.”
Despite Rebellion’s colorful take on
combat, the team is keen to ensure that
the setting and events are realistic, which
may or may not include the notion that
snipers were the most horrible people in
the war. “They’re mad, they’re quite sick,”
says Hart. “And this is why they ate alone.
Even their own hated them.”
Wolfgang’s car not passing its smog
check was the least of his problems.
Cold-blooded tactics
This hatred is said to be due to the sheer
psychopathy of snipers. Certain Russian
snipers killed hundreds of people in
reality, employing cruel tactics which are
readily available in the game. Shoot a
soldier in the leg and he’ll lie there
screaming in pain as his comrades come
out of the woodwork to rescue him.
“Shall I shoot now?” asks Hart. “No, no,
no, I’ll just wait. Let’s give them that
sense of hope. And just as they’re about
to come in, ‘Now!’ And you get that epic
kill cam.”
