Who will you be joining in
Star Wars: The Old Republic?
How could you
possibly think that?
Ewoks! Dan Pfeiffer
None of the above; I don’t feel
like playing another Wo W clone.
Michael Greene
■ ■ Was a massive
fan of Wo W for 5
years, then Skyrim
came along and I’m
enjoying my affair
with her. Wo W is
being divorced
out my life and I
welcome Skyrim
with open arms.
Arzetzt
I have tested the game for two
months and it is incredible! Eric Wilber
Utinni! Danny Farrell
For the Empire! Nalone Luangphonh
Sith empire!
Jedi Knight first—I’ve had a whole
character planned for months now.
David Bowen-Williams

Anything that kills as many Jar-Jars
as possible. Thomas Ran
■ ■ City of Heroes is
based on one thing:
community. I have
been playing for
four months and
I haven’t run into
a single elitist or
jerk trying to kick
me from a mission
because I wasn’t
geared up to the
right tier. Virfortis

■ ■ I’m too busy
playing Skyrim to
care about internet
drama. Mundox
"Maybe Obama and

The great equalizer
Thank you for showing that
even though we Americans may
be on opposite sides of the
political spectrum in this troubling day and age, PC Gamer
extended an olive branch to Jeff
Green [who wrote the Dev Man
Talking column in Issue 221].
Perhaps you can share your
“coming together secrets” with
our politicians. Maybe
President Obama and Speaker
Boehner can settle their differences over a quick match of
StarCraft II as it’s televised on
C-SPAN! Mark Lyden
We think that’s a great idea—in
fact, maybe all arguments among
political factions should be settled
through multiplayer games. If
nothing else, decisions would sure
happen a lot faster. PCG
Big hands
When is Logitech or any other
big name computer hardware
company making gaming mice
going to realize that the current
crop of gaming mice is too
small for those of us with big
hands? Even the Rat 7/9 mice
do not pull out long enough to
comfortably rest our palms on
with our fingers extended to the
end of the buttons. Ever see a
6-foot-plus tall gamer use a
mouse? His hand looks like it is
trying to gently cradle a small
animal, and his fingers get
cramped after several hours of
play. Tony Brejwo
As the PC Gamer editorial crew
contains a hulking brute or two, we
feel your pain. Our recommendation for a mouse that won’t cramp
your style (or your hand) is the
wireless Microsoft Sidewinder. It’s
quite massive, comes with adjustable weights, and has an excellent
metal scroll wheel and vertically
arranged thumb buttons. PCG
Time wasters
Two big time sinks in Rage are
traveling and running around
towns talking to people. These
activities are great in an RPG
like The Elder Scrolls, where
conversations are meaningful
and traveling goes hand-in-
hand with exploration and dis-
covery. In Rage you’re simply
driving along a pre-determined
route to go from a town to
where you will be shooting
people. The conversations
would be OK as an optional
thing, but forcing me to run
around the town searching for
quests and listening to pointless
stories? I just want to shoot
people. Game designers can’t
believe these time sinks are fun,
can they? It seems like they are
added in so they can say, “Our
game is eight hours long” when
there are really only four hours
of actual gun play. Dan Lazarus
Every player has different tastes in
what they like in a game, but some
games definitely are more guilty
of shoehorning
random gameplay
elements in than
others do. However,
gamers are a pretty
savvy bunch, and for
the most part,
review scores end up
reflecting
when developers are
guilty of
padding.

■ ■ Seriously, there is
now such a backlog
of great games now
that I cannot hope
to possibly play
them all. Incarnal
■ ■ Love to id for
releasing the Doom
3 source code.
Thanks for not being
evil. Ash88

hidden quests?!
